Dobrotvor Association Launches Soup Kitchen, Support from Centar Municipality with 2,500 KM

In an effort to launch a soup kitchen for the first time, the "Dobrotvor" Association has managed to secure a location for the central kitchen, a food distribution point, some of the necessary inventory, and co-financing for the kitchen's operation. The biggest problem in the kitchen's operation is the lack of food for users, and this project relates precisely to the procurement of food for socially vulnerable categories. The Association's goal is to ensure the use of the kitchen, food distribution to users who live alone and are unable to come to the kitchen, and food and hygiene packages for families with multiple children, reports the Patria agency.

- The project includes the elderly and sick, as well as persons in a state of social need from the Centar municipality, within which food will be procured for the kitchen's operation, food and hygiene supplies will be procured, users will be registered, and meals and packages will be distributed.

Given that the Centar Municipality pays special attention to the elderly and sick, as well as socially vulnerable persons, this project by the "Dobrotvor" Association has been supported with 2,500 KM.  

Aleksa Ćebić from the "Dobrotvor" Association expressed special gratitude to the Centar Municipality for their support, hoping that the good cooperation will continue.

- The project will be very detailed as it involves the direct preparation and distribution of food. Monitoring includes meeting sanitary conditions, constant control by the inspectorate, and direct inspection visits by labor and social protection inspectors. In previous years as well, this local community has supported the work of our association, and we are very grateful for that - Ćebić stated.

We remind you that in this year's budget of the Centar Municipality, 300,000 KM has been allocated for the support of projects by non-governmental organizations and associations, and of that amount, 41,500 KM has been allocated to associations implementing projects related to assistance for persons with disabilities and intellectual disabilities.
