Frequent incidents in schools: Parents threatened a teacher over a grade of four, even in the presence of police

(Patria) - The principal of the elementary school "Safvet-beg Bašagić", Namir Ibrahimović, spoke today on the school's official Facebook profile to inform the public about an incident that occurred on Thursday at this school. 

"Yesterday, during the long break in the second shift, A.Č., the father of a student, forcibly entered the school. He shouted, in a hallway full of students, despite the day guard's request to wait outside the entrance doors, at a teacher and threatened that she would be “swallowed by darkness” because of the final grade of 4 in the first semester of the 22/23 school year in one of the subjects.

Later, in the presence of a police officer from the Center Police Department, both A.Č. and his wife A.Č. directed a series of insulting and demeaning words at the teacher, and Mrs. A.Č. repeated several times that teachers need the help of a psychologist because they are “harassing her child.”

The employees of the Public Institution Elementary School “Safvet-beg Bašagić” strongly condemn the primitive and arrogant behavior of the parents and reject all their allegations characterizing certain employees and the school itself. The police have been informed of everything (the threat to the teacher, the forcible entry into a public facility, the harassment of children, and the disturbance of public order and peace), and the school will do everything in its power to ensure that such violent behavior is adequately punished.

The employees of the school express their support for the attacked colleague. In cooperation with the School Parents' Council, we will work to prevent such scenes so that both students and employees have a safe environment," Ibrahimović stated. 

Incidentally, this school experienced another incident this year when a parent of a female student attacked a student in the schoolyard. 

The question arises whether the police will have to be on duty in schools to avoid such attacks and incidents in educational institutions.
