Student (14) seriously injured after falling from school window in Bihać

(Patria) - A 14-year-old student fell from a window of the "Kamenica" Elementary School near Bihać yesterday, sustaining serious injuries and was transported to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS).

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior of the Una-Sana Canton, Ale Šiljdedić, told Faktor that the initial information received by the police from the Cantonal Hospital in Bihać was that the child had been brought to that health facility with injuries sustained from a fall from the first floor of the school.

- The report from the hospital arrived at 10:50, and the incident occurred about 20 minutes earlier. Initially, minor injuries were noted, however, after detailed examinations and scans, it was determined that the injuries were more serious and quite dangerous.

Because of this, the girl was transferred from the Bihać hospital to KCUS - said Šiljdedić, adding that the police conducted an investigation and are carrying out necessary investigative actions to determine how and under what circumstances the child fell.
