Murder in Tešanj: Son kills father with a knife

(Patria) - A murder occurred in Tešanj last night, half an hour after midnight, when a son killed his father with a knife, Faktor unofficially learns. All circumstances of this event are still being determined.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Valentić, stated that the Tešanj Police Station was informed by the emergency services that a person identified as H.K. (born 1981) from Tešanj had been brought in with a stab wound to the thigh with heavy bleeding, and that the injuries were sustained in a family home in the Tešanjka settlement.

- Due to the injuries sustained, the person was urgently transferred to the Tešanj General Hospital, where he died at 1:43 AM. Police officers from the Tešanj Police Station and inspectors from the Criminal Police Sector went to the scene and conducted an investigation under the supervision of the duty prosecutor.

During the day, a person identified as D.K. (born 2006) from Tešanj was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of grievous bodily harm with a fatal outcome. He will be questioned as a suspect and handed over to the jurisdiction of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings tomorrow - Valentić pointed out.

He added that the circumstances under which this event occurred are still being determined, and that more details will be known after the investigation is completed.
