Police Killings: Detention Requested for Arrested Obradov

(Patria) - The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton has proposed to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo a one-month detention for suspect Miloš Obradov, who is linked to the murder of police officers.

- Detention was proposed due to the risk that the suspect, if at large, could obstruct the investigation by influencing witnesses, concealing evidence, as well as due to the risk of repeating the criminal offense and the risk that the suspect's release could cause public unrest – said the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton.

We remind you that yesterday, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) deprived Miloš Obradov of his liberty in the area of Pale, who is linked to the murder of two Sarajevo police officers on October 26 in Alipašino Polje.

Obradov is a car mafia member from East Sarajevo who had been previously brought in during the investigation of the murder of two police officers.

SIPA stated that the deprivation of liberty of the suspect was preceded by operational activities of SIPA in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska.

- After searches of the apartment, other premises, and movable property, the deprived person was handed over to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, SIPA stated.
