POLICE MURDER: Parts of firearm found in Pale, sent for forensic analysis

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, members of SIPA conducted an inspection and investigation in Pale and found parts of a firearm that, by type and caliber, match the weapon from which the Sarajevo police officers were killed, Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, told Patria.

For now, there is no confirmation of the exact location or whether this location was previously searched when the police were looking for Aleksandar Macan, one of the suspects in the murder of police officers Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović in October 2018 in Alipašino Polje.

The parts of the weapon linked to the murder suspect have been sent for forensic analysis.

The suspects in this brutal murder, besides Macan, are Marko Trifković, who are in custody, and Sava Marinković, who is serving a sentence in Germany, and his arrival in Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected after serving his prison term in Germany.

The investigation into the murder of the Sarajevo police officers is led by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, and all investigative activities are carried out by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) under their orders.

According to earlier information, the weapon used to kill the police officers was allegedly destroyed, i.e., cut into pieces, as was the car they used to flee after the murder.
