Murder of Kenin Lukač: Sentences of 3, 11, and 15.5 Years in Prison Issued

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo issued a first-instance verdict to the accused Sead Adilović, Vedad Višnjić, and Asmir Murtović in the case of the murder of Kenin Lukač on January 20, 2022. The court proceedings were conducted for the criminal offenses of murder, unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, and illegal possession of weapons or explosives.

By the first-instance verdict, Adilović was sentenced to a unified prison term of 15 years and six months for murder, drug dealing, and unauthorized possession of weapons.

Višnjić was sentenced to 11 years for the murder of Lukač, while Murtović was sentenced to three years in prison for aiding the perpetrator after the commission of the criminal offense. Their pre-trial detention was extended with the pronouncement of this verdict.

The murdered Kenin Lukač was a friend of Mehmed Ramić, who was murdered a month before Lukač. A warrant has been issued for Adel Kabaš (formerly Murtović), the brother of the convicted Asmir Murtović, for the murder of Ramić.

Lukač was killed after leaving the house of Mehmed Ramić, where he was talking with his father Zulf. That day, Lukač already had an incident with the persons who would take his life a few hours later.
