Croat killed, father of ten children

On the night between Saturday and Sunday, in the town of Calcio near Bergamo, 43-year-old Roberto Pantić was killed. An unknown person fired five shots at the campers, and one of the bullets hit Pantić, who is a Croatian citizen.

Pantić lived with his wife and ten children in the town of Rivalti near Turin, and they often stopped in Calcio during their travels. They were traveling in two campers, reports Corriere della Sera.

Pantić was hit in the head, just above the eye. No one noticed the shooting until the 43-year-old began to gasp. His wife then saw his bloody head. At first, she thought it was a stroke. The eldest son got behind the wheel and headed towards Calcio, where he found a café from which they called an ambulance, which arrived shortly. Roberto died before they reached the hospital.

The police launched an investigation into the murder, and they found nothing that would link the family to this act. The body is in the hospital in Bergamo awaiting an autopsy.
