Academy and exhibition in the City Hall on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Alija Izetbegović's death

SARAJevo, (Patria) - On the occasion of the seventeenth anniversary of the death of the first president of BiH, Alija Izetbegović, on October 19, 2020, a traditional solemn Academy will be held in tribute to his life and work.

The Academy will be held in the Sarajevo City Hall, and the organizer is the "Alija Izetbegović" Museum. An exhibition will also be opened in cooperation with the Alija Izetbegović Foundation, which will be available for the public to visit in the days following the ceremony.

The general patron of the solemn academy is the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović.

Due to the current epidemiological situation, the number of visitors to this year's solemn Academy will be limited.

Visitors will be able to view the exhibition until October 29, 2020, in the City Hall.
