Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today (1/11/2016), in continuation of the operation codenamed „Damask“, arrested three individuals and searched facilities at three locations in the area of Velika Kladuša with the aim of finding and temporarily confiscating items that could serve as evidence in further proceedings.
The aforementioned activities were carried out by orders of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton.
Individuals identified as N.Š. (1988), A.M. (1960), and Dž.V. (1989) were arrested on grounds of suspicion that they committed the criminal offense under Article 162b of the Criminal Code of BiH, paragraph (3) „Illegal formation and joining of foreign paramilitary or paramilitary formations“.
During the search, six hand grenades, one instant rifle grenade, two anti-personnel mines, 26 rounds of ammunition for an M-84 7.62 mm machine gun, 30 rounds of 7.9 mm rifle ammunition, six rounds of 7.65 mm pistol ammunition, a machete, an ISIL flag, a plastic stencil for painting ISIL symbols, mobile phones, SIM cards, and other items that could serve as evidence in further proceedings were found and temporarily confiscated.
The arrested individuals were taken to SIPA's official premises, where they will be processed, after which their further status will be decided in accordance with the instructions of the acting prosecutor.
