All cases of false bomb threats in high schools in Tuzla solved

(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton have acted on several reports of planted explosive devices in Tuzla high schools in the past few days, which ultimately turned out to be false.

Significant human and material-technical resources were engaged on that occasion. The Police Directorate announced today that all these cases have been successfully solved in the previous period, and the perpetrators have been adequately sanctioned.

"Since it has been determined in previous cases that the perpetrators were minors, we appeal to parents to get more involved in solving this problem, especially because it is a criminal offense for which minors or their parents are criminally liable, depending on the case.

Such events require an urgent intervention, which first involves the evacuation of students and staff at a given location, and then the engagement of a large number of personnel and equipment from both the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton Police Directorate and the emergency services engaged in such cases, which causes significant costs. In addition to the above, difficulties arise in the conduct of the teaching process.

Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton Police Directorate are intensively working on solving and documenting all received false reports in high schools in the Tuzla area, and all available measures and actions are being taken to collect digital traces and evidence, with the aim of identifying and prosecuting the perpetrators of these criminal offenses, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner," the statement added.
