New meeting of Tadić and the prosecution team with the Memić family at the BiH Prosecutor's Office on Friday

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – On Friday, September 13, a meeting will be held at the BiH Prosecutor's Office between the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Gordana Tadić, and the prosecution team working on the case „Dženan Memić“ with the father and sister of the murdered young man, Muriz and Arijana Memić, and their lawyer Ifet Feraget. 

The BiH Prosecutor's Office formed a case in the murder of Dženan Memić as early as last year, and on October 5, Muriz Memić filed a criminal complaint with the State Prosecutor's Office against forty individuals led by the then Chief Prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton, Dalida Burzić (since February 2019, a judge at the BiH Court), whom they accuse of filing a false indictment for a traffic accident in the Memić case. Among those reported are also several police officers from the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, all prosecutors who worked on the Memić case, and three federal prosecutors...

The prosecution team working on this case consists of Ćazim Hasanspahić, Sedin Idrizović, and Adis Nuspahić. 

Memić has testified on several occasions to the prosecutors working on the case, as has the sister of the murdered Dženan, Arijana Memić. Several other witnesses with knowledge of the Dženan Memić case have also been heard.

Memić confirmed to the Patria News Agency that a meeting will be held on Friday, but expressed dissatisfaction with the passage of time.

„I filed a criminal complaint 11 months ago. I won't say that nothing is being done, but too much time has passed since my child was killed, and the truth has not been revealed. I expect the BiH Prosecutor's Office to handle this case seriously“, Memić told NAP. 

A retrial is underway at the Sarajevo Cantonal Court for Ljubo and Bekrija Seferović for a traffic accident, and in the continuation of the trial, a new expert finding from traffic experts will be presented. The team of experts visited the scene in Velika aleja, where on the night of February 8, 2016, under still unexplained circumstances, Dženan Memić sustained injuries from which he died on February 15, 2016.  

Precisely because of the long passage of time, the Memić family is announcing new citizen protests.
