Five suspects for drug trafficking handed over to the BiH Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - The suspects who were deprived of their liberty, one suspect last night, and the rest this morning, were handed over to the acting prosecutor for further proceedings.

The operational action in the case codenamed “Rolex” was carried out in cooperation and communication with EUROPOL structures, and it concerns several individuals suspected of organized crime, related to unauthorized international trafficking of large quantities of narcotics.

Within the case with evidence from Sky and Ana applications, evidence was collected that the suspects, as an organized criminal group, smuggled narcotic drugs in the period from 2019 to 2021 in the territory of BiH, Montenegro, and the countries of the region.

Activities in the case of the BiH Prosecutor's Office were carried out by police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS, SIPA, and other partner police agencies. Searches were conducted at several locations in cities in both BiH entities, and a total of 5 suspects were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office.

After questioning the suspects, the acting prosecutor from the SKY team of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will make a decision on the proposal for determining pre-trial detention or prohibition measures, as well as other investigative activities in the case.
