Suicide bomber injures four police officers in Turkey ahead of G20 summit

In southern Turkey on Saturday evening, near the border with Syria, a terrorist detonated explosives and injured four police officers. Turkish soldiers killed four ISIL members at the very border with Syria, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on world leaders to prioritize the fight against terrorism and to gather at a two-day summit in southwestern Turkey beginning today. Leaders of the 20 world economies will gather at the summit, which is also expected to be attended by US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

French President Francois Hollande cancelled his participation due to the chaotic situation following the terrorist attacks in Paris, but the ministers of foreign affairs and finance will attend.

Although the G20 summit deals with economic issues, the fight against terrorism will certainly be one of the burning topics.
