Elfeta Veseli arrested in Switzerland, suspected of murdering a 12-year-old boy

Elfeta Veseli (1960), suspected of war crimes, has been arrested in Switzerland at the request of the BiH Prosecutor's Office. Acting on the request of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, the authorities of the Swiss Confederation arrested the suspect in the Canton of Neuchâtel for the murder of a boy of Serb nationality in 1992 in the vicinity of Zvornik, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced, writes Patria.

The suspect is under investigation and is suspected of having, together with other persons, in the summer of 1992, near the village of Kamenica near Zvornik, in an extremely cruel manner, with a cold weapon, killed a 12-year-old boy of Serb nationality, Stojanović Slobodan.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office conducted an extensive investigation during which it collected evidence implicating the suspect and learned that the suspect had been in the territory of the Swiss Confederation for a long time, and activities were initiated to locate, arrest, and extradite her to the BiH judiciary.

The Prosecutor's Office was informed that the suspect in Switzerland opposed voluntary extradition to BiH under an expedited procedure, so in the coming period, activities will be undertaken for her extradition and deportation to BiH, where she will be tried.
