Woman dies in collision between truck and van in Lapišnica, several injured

(Patria) - One woman died and several people were injured in a serious traffic accident that occurred this morning on the Sarajevo – Pale main road, in the village of Lapišnica.

A passenger van and a freight truck were involved in the traffic accident, colliding head-on.

There were nine people in the van, members of a mountaineering association from Goražde.

The van was coming from the direction of Goražde, and the truck from the direction of Sarajevo. The wet and slippery road contributed to the accident.

There were two people in the truck.

After the police investigation was completed and the vehicles involved in the traffic accident on the Sarajevo-Pale main road in Lapišnica were removed, traffic was opened in both directions at 11:30 AM. Due to the multi-hour traffic suspension, long queues of vehicles formed.
