Workers from Serbia killed in horrific fire in Siberia

A construction site on the Yamal Peninsula in northern Siberia was hit by a fire tonight, in which, according to unofficial information, eight people died.

At the time the fire broke out, a large number of workers from Serbia were at the construction site, who went to Russia through the company “Velestroj”, reports ATV, as carried by the Patria news agency. Among the workers killed at the construction site in northern Russia there are also citizens of Serbia.

Six Serbian workers died on the Siberian Yamal Peninsula.

The fire destroyed part of the accommodation block within the construction site, which included about 80 rooms. These are prefabricated barracks where workers from Serbia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus were sleeping.
