A Centre for Health Promotion and Improvement will be opened in the municipality of Stari Grad, which will be the first centre of its kind in the Sarajevo Canton. The Municipality of Stari Grad, in cooperation with the Association for the Improvement and Promotion of Health "Generacija", is opening this centre with the aim of developing non-institutional care, i.e., improving the quality of life and health of the elderly and children, reports Patria.
The deterioration of physical, mental, and intellectual abilities leads to a decline in functional capacity in the elderly and preschool-aged children, resulting in even greater inactivity and withdrawal. This Centre will act preventively, but also to alleviate pervasive and growing socio-health problems.
All health programs to be implemented in the Centre will be adapted to all generational groups - preschool children aged three to five and senior citizens. The Centre is located at Obala Kulina bana street no. 22 and will be accessible to all citizens of Sarajevo, regardless of their place of residence.
On Friday, June 2, 2017, at 11:00 AM, a Contract for the Implementation of the Project "Centre for Health Promotion and Improvement" will be signed between the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo and the Association "Generacija", which will manage the Centre and be responsible for the implementation of all programs, after which the Centre will begin its operations.
