Two people arrested in Srebrenica for shooting in Potočari

(Patria) - The Zvornik Police Administration announced that police officers of the Srebrenica Police Station identified and arrested two individuals with initials G.A. and N.G. from Srebrenica due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of "Causing general danger".

"Police officers of the Srebrenica Police Station, acting on information that on 06.01.2024, in Potočari, Srebrenica municipality, shots were fired from a firearm from a moving vehicle that was part of a convoy escorting the Christmas Eve bonfire, determined that in the mentioned incident, person G.A. fired a signal pistol, which was confiscated with a receipt, while person N.G. was driving the mentioned vehicle," the statement said.

The duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijeljina was informed about everything, who ordered the submission of a report on the committed criminal offense, and further work on documenting the event will follow.

"The Zvornik Police Administration once again calls on citizens to refrain from such forms of behavior and to welcome and celebrate holidays with dignity and in peace," the statement concludes.
