5,690 infected in Serbia, curfew lasts until Tuesday morning

SERBIA, (Patria) - A total of 5,690 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Serbia, and 110 have died. A national campaign for treatment with blood plasma from recovered patients has been launched. On Friday at 5:00 PM, the longest curfew began, which will last until Tuesday at 5:00 AM.

Epidemiologist Dr. Predrag Kon said at a press conference on the coronavirus situation that the epidemic will be declared over when COVID-19 is completely gone and announced that he expects this to happen in mid-May.

Minister of Education Mladen Šarčević said that there will be no return to school desks for regular classes this year.

Production of chloroquine, which is used in the treatment of COVID-19, has started in Serbia.
