Two men arrested in Sarajevo for drugs and weapons, cocaine, marijuana, and pills found

(Patria) - Continuing planned activities to document unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, on 29/30.08.2025, police officers of the Department for Combating Narcotic Drug Abuse, Sector of Criminal Police of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, carried out an operational action codenamed "Limeni".

Based on the orders of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, two residential buildings in the area of the Novo Sarajevo municipality were searched.

During the search of the residential buildings used by A.K.D. and F.K. from Sarajevo, police officers found and seized 12 PVC packages containing an unknown powdery substance of white color which, by its appearance, resembles the narcotic drug cocaine (total weight approximately 1000 grams), nine different PVC packages containing an unknown dry herbaceous substance which, by its appearance and morphological characteristics, resembles the narcotic drug cannabis-marijuana (total weight approximately 485 grams), 56 tablets resembling the narcotic drug MDMA-ecstasy, two digital scales for precise measurement and weighing of narcotic drugs, two mobile phones, and other items that will serve as evidence in the criminal proceedings.

In addition to the above, during the search of the residential building used by F.K., one rifle was found and temporarily seized from the said person.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), A-K.D. (1997) was deprived of his liberty, while F.K. (1998) was deprived of his liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Illegal Possession of Weapons or Explosive Materials (Article 371, Paragraph 1 of the same Law).

After the criminal investigation was completed, on 30.08.2025, the suspects will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, it was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
