Today in Sarajevo, 42-year-old Š. M. was arrested, in whose backpack police found 10 kilograms of heroin worth 600,000 KM, writes the news agency Patria.
During the search of Š. M., a mobile phone was also found and seized from him.
Based on the order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, the house and other accompanying facilities used by Š. M. in the area of Novo Sarajevo Municipality were also searched.
A significant amount of weapons was also found on that occasion.
The Police Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, Vahid Ćosić, said that the seized drug is an item of international smuggling and was most likely intended for sale on the BiH market.
