Pedestrian (73) dies in Sarajevo

(Patria) - An elderly woman died in a traffic accident that occurred this morning in the Mojmilo settlement, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality.

The Emergency Medical Service team informed the Novi Grad Sarajevo Police Department this morning around 10:20 AM about an intervention due to an injured pedestrian.

She was hit and knocked to the ground by a passenger motor vehicle on X transferzala street.

The doctor from the aforementioned service pronounced the pedestrian, born in 1951, dead at 10:47 AM. The driver remained at the scene.

The duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office was informed. Traffic on this section is suspended until the investigation is completed, announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
