SARAJevo, (Patria) - The second edition of the International Documentary Film Festival AJB DOC, organized by Al Jazeera Balkans, in cooperation with Al Jazeera Media Network and Al Jazeera Media Institute from Doha, opened tonight at Cinema City, and the first film selected was 'For Sama' by Waad Al-Kateab and Edward Watts.
At the festival, which runs from September 20 to 24, the audience will be able to watch 23 documentary films, each showcasing the aspiration for change, which is also the slogan of this year's festival, manifested in individuals and society.
The official competition selection of the AJB DOC Film Festival will feature 12 documentary films intended for television broadcast, while the non-competition selection will showcase five top titles from European and world festivals. In addition, six films will be screened as part of the AJB Presents program, which will soon be featured on Al Jazeera Balkans.
Three awards will be presented at the AJB DOC Film Festival.
Besides film screenings, the second edition of the AJB DOC Film Festival also includes Q&A sessions after screenings, meet-and-greets with authors, exhibitions, and other accompanying content that will create an environment for meeting and exchanging experiences and serve as a platform for ideas and new projects.
