Meeting of defrauded businessmen held in Sarajevo: We expect seizure of Tuš's assets

A meeting of Bosnian businessmen was held today at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose Slovenian retail chain “Tuš“ owes them millions of convertible marks after withdrawing from Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

About a hundred Bosnian businessmen agreed on concrete demands from the damaged suppliers. They will seek help from the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the company “Tuš“, the Embassy of Slovenia, and the European Commission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the latest published information, “Tuš“ owes Bosnian businessmen about 20 million KM, and owes more than half a million KM to the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.

Bruno Bojić, Vice President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, stated that all inspection and investigative bodies in BiH should urgently review Tuš‘s business operations. He also said that he expects the competent institutions to react very quickly by prohibiting and seizing Tuš‘s assets.

The owner of the retail chain “Tuš“, Slovenian Mirko Tuš, justified his withdrawal from the BiH market by the decline in citizens‘ purchasing power, the catastrophic floods that hit BiH in May this year, and the lack of understanding from domestic suppliers, who no longer wanted to give goods to “Tuš“ without money, writes NAP.
