Six cars burned in Sarajevo, police arrested a suspect

SARAJevo, (Patria) - A fire broke out in one car in a parking lot in the Sarajevo settlement of Dobrinja last night, and then spread to five other vehicles. Police arrested one person, indicating that the vehicle was intentionally set on fire.

Namely, last night at 11:03 PM, the police were informed that a fire had occurred in a passenger motor vehicle "VW" Golf 3 in the parking lot at Bulevar Mimar Sinana bb street, Novi Grad municipality.

The fire then spread to five other motor vehicles parked nearby. The fire was localized by members of the Sarajevo Canton Fire Brigade at 11:20 PM, and there were no injuries, while material damage was caused to the vehicles.

The duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office was informed about everything, who ordered that the scene be secured until the morning hours, and that an investigation be carried out in the presence of a permanent court expert of PPZ profession and an investigation team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

Due to the grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of causing general danger was committed, police officers of the Dobrinja Police Station deprived S.R. from Sarajevo of his liberty.

The person was handed over to the premises of the Unit for Security of Objects and Detention of Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. Police officers continue to work on documenting the mentioned criminal offense.
