
(Patria) - Adis Mulahasanović, a former football referee and president of the Association of Referees and Instructors of Sarajevo Canton, lost his life in a traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday near Ilidža.
The Association of Football Referees and Instructors of Sarajevo Canton, as well as numerous sports organizations and individuals, bid farewell to Mulahasanović:
"With great sorrow and grief, we inform our membership and the public that yesterday, June 18, at the age of 45, our president, Adis Mulahasanović, passed away in a traffic accident. Details regarding the burial and funeral prayer will be announced later. Our thoughts are with Adis's family. Adis's noble work and dedication to the refereeing profession and his Association will forever remain inscribed in our thoughts and memories. The grief and emptiness we feel from this loss are difficult to describe with any words, so we will only ask dear Allah Almighty to forgive Adis all his sins and grant him entry into the beautiful gardens of Paradise."
During his refereeing career, which lasted from 2012 to 2023, Mulahasanović officiated a total of 108 matches in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After retiring from the field, he dedicated himself to working with young referees and improving the refereeing sector.
