Four-month-old baby found in Sanski Most, mother and son arrested

(Patria) - After four children, aged four months to six years, were found in Sanski Most yesterday afternoon, the mother and son were arrested.

Namely, due to suspicion of human trafficking, fifty-four-year-old B.B. from Krkojevci and her twenty-nine-year-old son E.B. were arrested.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton told us that yesterday afternoon, the Sanski Most Police Station received information that in the village of Krkojevci, municipality of Sanski Most, in the house of B.B., there were several children without parental care, and that there was a suspicion that they might be victims of human trafficking.

"Upon arrival at the scene, members of the Sanski Most Police Station confirmed the report and found four children in the house, aged four months to six years," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton told "Nezavisne novine".

They added that the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Una-Sana Canton, as well as members of the Social Work Center, were informed about everything. Upon arrival at the scene, they took over the found children, who were provided with necessary medical assistance at the Sanski Most Health Center, and were placed in a safe house.

"Members of the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton were informed about everything, and with the consent of the acting prosecutor and the verbal order of the Court, they carried out investigation activities, as well as a search of the house and residential premises and auxiliary facilities of the person B.B.," said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton.
