Slobodan Pavlović, owner of the former Pavlović Bank, died in the US

(Patria) - Slobodan Pavlović, a controversial businessman from Bijeljina, died last night in a traffic accident in America.

This information was confirmed by one of his lawyers.

In 2016, Pavlović, along with Petar Lazić, Ljiljana Garić, and Blago Blagojević, was arrested by SIPA on suspicion of committing criminal offenses of money laundering, abuse of official position, and falsification and destruction of official documents in the case of SNSD president Milorad Dodik's loan at Pavlović Bank. The investigation in this case was never concluded. 

Pavlović Bank is known for the fact that Milorad Dodik took out a loan there to buy a villa in Dedinje. There is suspicion that Pavlović Bank not only gave the loan to Milorad Dodik but that a person connected to Slobodan Pavlović, Radomir Jovanović, also repaid this loan for Dodik.

 In the nineties, he began the construction of Pavlović Bank and Slobomir P University in Slobomir.
