BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - RS President Željka Cvijanović spoke today in Banja Luka with the Prime Minister of RS Radovan Višković, BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, and BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija. Cvijanović stated that schools will likely not be in session until the end of the school year. She expressed special gratitude to healthcare workers.
"We must understand that we are in an extraordinary situation, and the crisis headquarters issues the majority of orders. We are also satisfied with how distance learning is progressing. Activities have begun on setting up tents. It will be a challenge to organize life within these settlements, but the competent authorities, together with local communities, will carry it out as prescribed," Cvijanović stated.
She added that the RS Government will prepare measures for citizens and entrepreneurs to mitigate damages.
BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik said that negotiations are underway with China for the procurement of equipment.
"Europe has closed its borders, and we are trying to find a solution for the economy," said Dodik, adding that he expects a large influx of BiH citizens who will lose their jobs in the West.
"We must react to all of this, and very rigorously. We regret that they will spend 14 days in tents, but this is a measure that will help both them and us. Some are aware of this, and are now trying to catch the last train to get a paper for home isolation, but they will also be rigorously controlled," concluded Dodik.
