One person killed, three arrested, one wounded in exchange of fire with police in Ilidža

Near the roundabout in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Ilidža last night, one person was killed, and three were arrested, one of whom was wounded. The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office Sarajevo is leading the investigation being conducted by members of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, reports the news agency Patria.

As Patria learns, four young men robbed the Amko market store in the municipality of Vogošća and then fled by car. The police pursued them, and the robbers opened fire on the police, who returned fire, resulting in one person being killed and another wounded, after which the robbers were arrested.

During the escape, the robbers used a Passat vehicle, and as confirmed by MUP KS spokesperson Irfan Nefić for Patria, the license plates do not belong to the found car.

The deceased is D.N., born in 1991, residing in Sarajevo. Due to grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of aggravated theft and assault on an official in the performance of security duties, the following were deprived of liberty: B.A., born in 1987, and B.J., born in 1994, both residing in Sarajevo, and Dž.Š., born in 1991, who was also wounded. In the Passat vehicle, stolen items were found and seized, and at the scene, one automatic rifle, one pistol, and three so-called “balaclavas” were found.
