First nine months collected 309 million KM more taxes than in the same period last year

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Indirect Taxation Authority collected 5 billion and 936 million KM in the first nine months of 2019, which is 309 million KM or 5.5% more compared to the same period in 2018.

After refunds to the business community in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounting to 1 billion and 88 million KM, net collected revenues distributed to beneficiaries for the period January - September 2019, namely the state, entities, and Brčko District, amounted to 4 billion and 848 million KM, and are 243 million KM higher than the revenues received by beneficiaries from the Single Account in the same period of 2018, announced the Indirect Taxation Authority.

For the financing of state institutions for the period January - September 2019, an amount of 557 million KM was allocated. State institutions receive the same amount of revenue from indirect taxes each year, while the surplus revenue collected by the ITA year after year ends up in entity coffers and with the Brčko District.

Thus, in the first nine months of 2019, the Federation of BiH received a total of 2 billion and 720 million KM (9.43% more than in 2018), the Republika Srpska 1 billion and 388 million KM (10.09% more than in 2018), and the Brčko District 147 KM (3.92% more than in 2018).

Based on the special toll for highway construction and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 KM), the Federation of BiH received an additional 158.5 million KM, the Republika Srpska 104.8 million KM, and the Brčko District 5.4 million KM. The difference represents a reserve in a special toll account of 0.25 KM.
