Witnesses begin testifying at Prijedor police regarding imam Amir Mahić case

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to still unconfirmed information from the portal Politicki.ba, two Bosniaks from Kozarac have already responded to the Prijedor police's calls to give statements regarding the case of imam Amir ef. Mahić.

They were summoned after the police identified them in a video that appeared on social media, which recorded the sermon of hafiz Mahić on January 27 this year, who, incidentally, led the Friday prayer in Kozarac that day.

- People are scared, none of those who received a call to give a statement dare to show the invitation they received. Also, perhaps in this whole atmosphere of fear, neither of these two wants to say what the police asked them.

Bosniaks are being brought in for questioning because of what the hodža said in the mosque, while a full stadium of Serbs chants the name of war criminal Ratko Mladić, under whose command Prijedor and the entire Krajina region were devastated, and the police don't even bat an eye - a Bosniak from Prijedor, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Politicki.ba.

He states that Bosniaks in Prijedor do not have the right to tell those chanting the names of criminals "enough is enough," let alone to oppose them in any other way.

- So, Bosniaks will go for questioning and will not be allowed to talk about what happened during the questioning, while the children of their Serb neighbors will walk in front of their doors singing songs about the criminals who killed their children, relatives, and brothers.

That is, unfortunately, the situation that has prevailed in Prijedor for years, and especially after January 27 this year - added this interlocutor.
