One person killed in family house fire!

(Patria) - The professional fire brigade of the Bosanska Krupa municipality was alerted to two fires in residential buildings in the morning hours of 01.02.2021. At 8:05 AM in the area of Bosanska Krupa, in Goraždanska bb street, a fire in a residential building was reported. A vehicle with two firefighters was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, it was determined that due to the connection of the chimney with the wooden paneling in the ceiling, it had ignited and the fire spread over an area of 10 m². Through the quick action of the professional fire brigade members, the fire was localized and its spread to neighboring buildings was prevented. Significant material damage was caused, but there were no injuries.

At the same time, at 08:13, the police administration of Bosanska Krupa reported a fire in a residential building in the Ivanjska settlement. The second team of the professional fire brigade of the Bosanska Krupa municipality was dispatched to the scene, a vehicle with two firefighters and one vehicle, and the Otoka Volunteer Fire Department from Bosanska Otoka was also engaged with one vehicle and three firefighters.

Upon arrival at the scene, together with members of the Ministry of Interior, it was established that the fire was in the self-extinguishing phase and there was no need for firefighter intervention. A search of the building revealed that one room (the living room) was completely burned out, and the fire did not spread to other rooms. In the room affected by the fire, the remains of an adult person were found, presumed to be the occupant of the building, born in 1971.

After the extinguishing operation was completed, investigative actions were undertaken by members of the Ministry of Interior of the Una-Sana Canton to determine the cause of the fire. On this occasion, we appeal to the population to pay attention to precautionary measures in buildings during heating and the disposal of heating materials in this period of lower temperatures and increased heating intensity.
