The NATO summit in Warsaw is in its second and final day today. Afghanistan is being discussed, although behind the scenes there are threats to European borders coming from Russia after the occupation of the Crimean peninsula and eastern Ukraine, writes Patria.
The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, includes Minister of Defence Marina Pendeš, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH Lieutenant General Anto Jeleč, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak.
About twenty days before the summit in Warsaw, tensions arose between the US and Russia at the diplomatic level. The United States expelled two Russian embassy officials on June 17. This was in response to an attack by a Russian police officer on an American diplomat that occurred on June 6 in Moscow.
It was confirmed to journalists that a Russian police officer attacked an accredited American diplomat as he tried to enter the US embassy. For some time, the US had complained about a series of intimidations of American diplomats and their families in Moscow. American media had warned that Russian services were monitoring American diplomats and their family members.
The NATO summit concludes today. On the second day of the summit, July 9, the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, participated in a meeting at the level of heads of state and government, where he spoke about the current situation in Afghanistan.
