At least five dead and dozens injured in latest Iranian attack on Israel, many trapped under rubble

(Patria) - At least one person has been killed and more than 20 others hospitalized following an Iranian attack on a residential building in Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv, Ynet reported citing medical officials.

The injured have been evacuated to hospitals. From Bat Yam, 30 casualties were reported, including one dead, three seriously injured, four moderately injured, and 22 with minor injuries. From Rehovot, 24 injured were evacuated: two in serious condition, eight moderately injured, and 14 with minor injuries, the Israel MDA Emergency Center announced.

Israeli media report that there are fears a number of people are trapped under rubble following direct hits on parts of Israeli cities.

In the Dan district, severe destruction was reported in an eight-story building, where efforts are currently underway (03:45 local time) to rescue trapped individuals. In the Central District, two incidents were reported - one as a result of a direct hit, and the other as a result of an interception - and in both cases, fire and rescue teams are working to locate and rescue victims.

Meanwhile, police are processing the site of a weapon fall in the Central District. Police and bomb disposal experts are searching the scene to find remains and ensure the removal of additional risks. Police are calling on the public to remain in protected areas, avoid approaching the scenes, and not touch any remains that may contain explosives - and to immediately report them to the emergency hotline 100 if encountered.

At the same time, unconfirmed reports say Israeli forces have struck Iranian nuclear weapons centers.
