(Patria) - The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that at least 40 people were killed and over 100 injured in the armed attack in Moscow this evening.
The spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, described the violence at the "Crocus City Hall" concert venue as an act of terrorism.
"The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is receiving calls from ordinary citizens around the world expressing condolences regarding the terrible tragedy at 'Crocus City Hall' and condemning this bloody terrorist attack happening before the eyes of all humanity," Zakharova wrote on Telegram.
Several armed attackers opened fire with automatic weapons this evening in Moscow's "Crocus City Hall" venue before the start of a concert by the band "Piknik". After opening fire, the attackers threw a grenade, causing a fire.
