(Patria) - For the employees of the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", the third blood donation drive of this year was held today, collecting 26 doses of the precious fluid.
Blood reserves must be constantly replenished, as blood also has a shelf life (erythrocytes up to 35 days, and platelets only 5 days). Every collected blood donation is welcome and can save someone's life.
The drive was organized by the Department of Transfusion Medicine of the General Hospital in cooperation with the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the FBiH. The organizers thank all employees who participated in this humane act.
