Inauguration of BiH Honorary Consulate in Oman, Economic Cooperation in Focus

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Deputy Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Bisera Turković, during her visit to the Sultanate of Oman, in the capital city of Muscat, held a meeting with businessmen from this country, during which the inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of our country was formalized.

During the meeting, Minister Turković and the Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Oman, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Zahir Al-Hinai, addressed the attendees.

In her address, the Minister spoke about the potentials of our country and investment opportunities, as well as the steps that need to be taken to improve cooperation between the two countries. She emphasized the importance of visa regime liberalization and the signing of several agreements between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Oman, which would improve trade exchange, increase the number of tourists, and attract a larger number of investors.

Honorary Consul Al-Hinai spoke about the sectors in our country that are of interest for investment, such as tourism and agriculture, and expressed his hope that the agreements between BiH and Oman will be finalized and signed, and that they will yield positive results.

The participants of the meeting agreed that in the coming period, it is important to connect the chambers of commerce of the two countries, as well as to hold an online conference, which will be the beginning of connecting businessmen from different sectors.

During the meeting, Minister Turković answered questions from businessmen regarding investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the hosts also showed a promotional video, which featured some of the most beautiful places in our country.
