(Patria) - As part of the "Incitat" operation conducted by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) under the order of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, former Sarajevo-šume director Nermin Demirović was arrested this morning.
This information was confirmed to the media by the spokesperson of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, Azra Bavčić.
As Bavčić stated, Demirović was arrested by SIPA early this morning, and further steps will be decided after his interrogation.
Previously, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo ordered a one-month detention for suspects Ibri Berilo, Nađa Milišić, and Adis Mulaosmanović.
Prohibitory measures were imposed on Edina Džigal. Demirović is also suspected in the same case, and he had so far been unavailable to law enforcement agencies as he was traveling outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They are charged with association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, specifically abuse of position or authority and money laundering. This case concerns systemic corruption in the construction sector and money laundering.
