Four betting shops burned down in Sarajevo in a month and a half

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – In just over a month and a half, fires broke out in four betting shops in the Sarajevo area in the early morning hours. 

At the beginning of June, a fire broke out in the premises of the betting shop "Sport Plus" in Kranjčevićeva Street.

"During that incident, it was determined that the fire occurred between June 5, 2019, at 10:00 PM and June 6, 2019, at 2:50 AM, and that the glass portal on the entrance door was most likely broken with a stone found inside the facility. The cause of the fire has not been determined," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton announced.

On the night of June 17-18, a fire broke out in the „Wwin“ betting shop in Ciglane, which burned down completely. 

On the night of July 21-22, a fire broke out in the “Premier” betting shop in Bulevar Meše Selimovića Street. Significant material damage occurred to the facility, which burned down almost completely. 

The last, fourth fire in the „Bet Live“ betting shop was reported on the night between Monday and Tuesday at 3:35 AM.

The cause of any of these fires has not yet been announced, although arson is suspected. 

"Police officers are continuing their work to document the mentioned fires," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton announced after the fires in the betting shops.
