Protocol Signed for Negotiations on Collective Agreement for Communal Economy in Sarajevo Canton

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić and President of the Independent Trade Union of Workers in Communal Economy in FBiH - Cantonal Board Sarajevo Ramiz Gušo signed today a protocol for conducting negotiations regarding the Collective Agreement for the communal economy in Sarajevo Canton.

Following the signing of this protocol, the Negotiation Team of the Government of Sarajevo Canton also began talks with trade union representatives today.
The meeting was led by the Minister of Communal Economy and Infrastructure of SC Nihada Glamoč, who emphasized on this occasion that the signing of the protocol is a joint commitment of the Government and the Trade Union to make the negotiations on concluding the Collective Agreement for the communal economy more substantive and efficient, with the aim of them lasting as short as possible, and no later than October 31st this year.

She expressed hope that breakthroughs will ultimately be achieved in the field of communal economy, with the obligation to protect workers' rights.

Also, all participants of the meeting agreed that they are aware of the financial situation in which Sarajevo Canton is currently, due to the declaration of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, and that they will take this fact into account during the negotiations.

As emphasized, the goal is to find the best solutions for concluding the Collective Agreement on the rights and obligations of workers and employers in the field of communal economy in Sarajevo Canton.

It was agreed that for the next meeting, which will be held on September 11th, materials from communal companies will be prepared for discussion.
The negotiation team, in addition to Minister Glamoč, includes the Minister of Justice and Administration Mersa Kustura, the Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees Jasna Agić, the Minister of Transport Adi Kalem, and the Assistant Minister of Finance Zejna Avdić, as well as the Assistant for Economic-Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Communal Economy and Infrastructure Adnan Begić.
