Fourth sheep exhibition in Kneževo tomorrow

The fourth regional sheep exhibition "Obronci Vlašića 2015" will be opened on Saturday in the village of Imljani near Kneževo.
Sheep farmers from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region will show the best specimens of sheep from their flocks, writes the Patria News Agency.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country suitable for sheep farming. Their meat, milk, and wool are among the best in Europe. However, due to the lack of an adequate strategy for livestock development in the country, sheep farming in BiH is quite poorly developed, and the sheep farmers themselves claim that they are not sufficiently supported by the authorities.

Experts estimate that the sheep farming sector could create thousands of jobs in BiH if the state invested in its development, writes NAP.
