63-year-old man killed in Kakanj, police arrest suspect

(Patria) - The lifeless body of N.F. (born 1960) from Kakanj was brought to the Emergency Medical Service premises in Kakanj last night at 10:19 PM.

An examination of the body revealed multiple physical injuries suspected to have been caused by violence.

The duty prosecutor of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) Prosecutor's Office was informed of the incident and, together with officers from the Criminal Police Sector of the ZDC Ministry of Interior Police Directorate, the Special Police Unit, and the Kakanj Police Station, went to the scene and supervised the investigative actions.

Through interviews with witnesses and operational checks in the field, it was determined that a person identified as H.N. (born 1972) from Kakanj could be linked to the injuries of the deceased. He was located, deprived of his liberty, and a criminal investigation was initiated.

As established by the activities undertaken to shed light on the criminal offense, the injuries to the deceased were inflicted during a disturbance of public order in the evening hours at a catering establishment on Alija Izetbegović Street in Kakanj.

By order of the acting prosecutor, an autopsy of the deceased's body was ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
