SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After 14 years on the run, a "super fugitive" - Italian mafioso Marco Di Lauro - has been arrested in Naples.
Police announced that the 38-year-old Di Lauro was arrested without resistance in a modest apartment where he lived with his wife in the Chiaiano district, the Guardian reports.
He was sitting with his two cats and eating pasta when police arrested him in an operation involving about 150 security forces.
Naples Police Chief Antonio De Lesu stated that "unusual activities" led to the suspect, previously convicted of criminal association.
Police found no weapons in the apartment, only a small amount of money.
An international arrest warrant was issued for Di Lauro in 2005, and he was one of the four most wanted criminals in Italy. He is the fourth son of Paolo Di Lauro, a former mafia boss of the Neapolitan Camorra.
Italian media write that he is the second most dangerous man in Italy, immediately after the Sicilian mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro.
