
(Patria) - A three-storey building collapsed in Istanbul's Kucukcekmece district, and rescue teams pulled eight injured people from the rubble after two hours.
The cause of the building's collapse is not yet known, and police, medical and rescue teams are at the scene.
Initially, seven injured were pulled from the rubble, and then another person. Four were sent to the hospital.
The building collapse also damaged vehicles parked nearby, and one bus was also damaged.
According to the Turkish Hurriyet, one body was also recovered. There are 15 emergency medical teams at the scene.
“We felt a slight tremor. Then it collapsed. I threw myself behind the bed and wardrobe, and then I went outside. Some of them were in the rubble of the ground-floor shop and the upstairs apartments,” said one of the survivors.
