
(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today (07/17/2024), in the area of Grude and Tomislavgrad, in a case codenamed "ISTOK PORIN", arrested two individuals on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "Organizing a group or association for the commission of the criminal offense of migrant smuggling" and "Human trafficking" prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After criminal processing, the arrested individuals will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal deadline.
Searches of residential and auxiliary buildings and movable property at two locations were carried out, during which items that may serve as evidence in criminal proceedings were discovered and temporarily confiscated.
The mentioned activities were carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with police officers of the Border Police and the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, West Herzegovina Canton, and Canton 10 Livno, it was announced from SIPA.
