At least 19 people, including three children, were killed on Tuesday in shelling of a hospital in Aleppo, in an attack by Syrian rebels on a part of the city under the control of the Syrian regime, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported, according to the Patria news agency.
SOHR reported that another 80 people were wounded in the attack, adding that the death toll is likely to rise further as many of the wounded are in serious condition.
Syrian state television earlier reported that rockets fired by rebels hit a hospital in the government-controlled part of Aleppo. "Rockets fired by terrorists at the al-Dabit hospital killed and wounded dozens of people," state television reported. SOHR confirmed that the hospital was severely damaged, Index reports.
