(Patria) - The United Nations announced that 137 trucks of humanitarian aid were unloaded in Gaza yesterday.
This is the largest aid convoy that has set off for the Gaza Strip since October 7.
"During the humanitarian pause that is in effect, the UN has managed to increase the delivery of humanitarian aid into and across Gaza," the UN announced.
129,000 liters of fuel and four trucks of gas were also delivered to Gaza.
The UN also announced that "21 critical patients were evacuated in a major medical operation from northern Gaza." It is unclear where these patients were evacuated.
"Hundreds of thousands of people received assistance in food, water, medical supplies, and other essential humanitarian items," the statement said.
The UN welcomed the initial release of 24 hostages from Gaza and reiterated its call for the "immediate and unconditional release of all hostages".
"UN humanitarian teams and partners will continue to scale up humanitarian operations to meet the needs of people across Gaza in the coming days," the statement added.
