
(Patria) - Members of the Banja Luka Police Administration today, as part of the ongoing "Eskadron" operation, arrested R.P. from Banja Luka on suspicion of extortion.
The individual is Rajko Pavić, and according to the Banja Luka Police Administration, citing initials, he is suspected of having repeatedly threatened the lives of two victims between January 21 and April 16 of this year, extorting money and a passenger vehicle from them.
The Banja Luka police state that all measures and actions are being taken under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Banja Luka.
Rajko Pavić was arrested today in an operation by the Banja Luka police.
Incidentally, the media published footage showing police intercepting a car, surrounding it, and arresting an individual.
Pavić is a known figure to the police, and he was also arrested at the end of May on suspicion of being connected to a kidnapping case.
He has a criminal record and was recently arrested on suspicion of assisting Nenad Radinković, who is detained on suspicion of kidnapping Halid N., from whose brother he took 42,000 euros in cryptocurrency as ransom. He was charged with withdrawing the money that Radinković received from the victim's brother.
He has been convicted multiple times, and among other things, in 2011, the Banja Luka District Court imposed a total sentence of 20 years in prison for multiple criminal offenses. He was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for escaping from the Banja Luka Penitentiary, and that sentence was merged with a previous sentence of 18 years and six months in prison for multiple serious criminal offenses, resulting in a unified sentence of 20 years in prison.
